Summary Customer service, sales, cashiering, stocking, sorting, inventory management, sizing, color coordination, and cleaning activities in a retail store.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Receive donations: greet donors, accept and unload donated materials, enter customer general information into a smart device (such as a phone or tablet), and thank donors for their donated items.
Process donations: sort, separate, and hang clothing and household items; sort, test, clean, and mark small appliances, housewares, shoes, seasonal items, and other assorted merchandise.
Cashiering: conduct sales transactions and maintain control of cash and credit card transactions, following proper procedures for voids, discounts, refunds, checks, and credit card payments.
Cleaning duties: maintain bathrooms, floors, shelves, windows, break room, store fixtures, fitting rooms, dock area, store exterior, and merchandise counters; report issues requiring maintenance repairs.
Customer service activities: provide customer assistance, price merchandise, assist in fitting rooms, offer recycling bags, explain store operations, and utilize sales techniques to enhance store sales and community image.
Work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
