Responsibilities
Lead and support the development and continuous improvement of Tasman’s Health & Safety Program across Colorado.
Conduct daily field safety inspections and ensure corrective actions are completed.
Advise field leaders on hazard mitigation, compliance, and best safety practices.
Promote a proactive, people‑first safety culture on active job sites.
Deliver toolbox talks, safety breaks, and targeted safety communications.
Assist with incident, near‑miss, and stop‑work investigations.
Inspect and maintain safety equipment (fire extinguishers, gas monitors, first aid kits, etc.).
Stay up to date on regulatory changes and help implement necessary updates.
Collaborate with the Corporate Health & Safety Officer and regional leadership.
Work Environment & Travel
Primarily field‑based in Weld County and the Colorado Front Range.
Exposure to weather, excavation sites, noise, and environmental hazards.
PPE required at all times.
Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.
Local travel with limited out‑of‑state travel (~5%).
Pre‑employment Screening Background check and drug screening required (including marijuana) and participation in a random testing program.
Qualifications Required
5+ years of experience in construction, oil & gas, or similar field‑based operations.
OSHA 10 (General Industry or Construction).
PECR Veriforce / SafeLand.
H2S, First Aid / CPR / AED certifications.
Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle.
Strong communication skills and independent judgment.
Comfort working in dynamic outdoor field environments.
Preferred (but Not Required)
OSHA 30, HAZWOPER 40, or Competent Person – Trenching & Excavation.
Oil & Gas client‑specific certifications (Chevron, Civitas, Oxy, etc.).
Experience with heavy equipment.
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
Spanish language proficiency.
