Responsibilities

Assisting patients and their caregivers with any questions or concerns about their procedure.

Assessing a patient’s prior and current health, including any allergies, medication reconciliation and other health issues.

Starting Intravenous lines as needed for CT, MRI, Nuclear Medicine procedures.

Monitoring a patient’s vital signs; that is, blood pressure, temperature, critically analyzing any changes, and then reporting and acting on those findings.

Preparing sterile trays and assisting in radiology procedures done under fluoroscopy, MRI, ultrasound and breast imaging.

Assist with the monitoring of MRI studies done on patients with MRI compatible pacemaker systems. Monitoring the recovery and discharge of patients after their procedure.

Qualifications

Current and valid New Jersey Registered Nurse license is required

BLS/CPR certification by American Heart Association is required

Must have a minimum of one (1) year of nursing experience

ACLS required

BSN is preferred or willing to acquire within 3 years of hire

Experience in radiology preferred

Telemetry certification preferred

(4) ten hour shifts per week. This position does have an on call requirement (weekend/holiday requirement on a rotation) telemetry nursing experience required.

Compensation Starting at $44.24 Hourly
