Assistant Professor – Teaching, Department of Management, Mike Ilitch School of Business Wayne State University is seeking an experienced Assistant Professor – Teaching for the Department of Management at its Detroit campus location. This non‑tenured track position is for Fall 2026.

Essential Functions (Job Duties)

Teach four (4) undergraduate/graduate courses per semester, with an option to teach summer courses.

Manage student assessment and progress using Canvas as the learning management system.

Maintain and adapt curricula to keep content current, effective, and aligned with program competencies.

Instruct students in classroom, online, or hybrid formats.

Engage in department, school, university, and external service activities.

Qualifications

A Ph.D. in organizational behavior, human resource management, or a related field from an AACSB‑accredited business school (Master’s degree may be considered for Instructor – Teaching).

Teaching and/or professional experience or certification in organizational behavior and/or human resource management.

Ability to build and teach courses in multimodal formats: in‑person, online asynchronous, and online synchronous.
