Job Description and Duties Under the direction of the Chief Medical Executive and supervision of the Correctional Health Services Administrator I/II, the Radiologic Technologist prepares and instructs incarcerated patients for radiologic examinations and takes X‑rays for a variety of body structures. The technologist maintains equipment, premises, and records, and may supervise incarcerated workers in the conduct of patients in treatment.

Minimum Qualifications

Current valid certificate as a certified Radiologic Technologist in diagnostic radiologic technology issued by the California State Department of Health Services.

Either:

• Two years of experience, including training in radiologic techniques and methods under an accredited medical radiologist. (One year of graduate nursing work may substitute for one year of required experience.)

• Successful completion of a two‑year training program in radiologic technology approved by the Council on Medical Education and Hospitals of the American Medical Association in partnership with the American College of Radiology.
