EVS Supervisor
Wind Creek Hospitality is seeking an experienced EVS Supervisor to make guests feel welcome by ensuring casino and common areas are clean, comfortable and well maintained.
Duties and Responsibilities
Projects a positive image
Greets all guests in corridors
Actively coaches, mentors and develops employees
Performs weekly audits of employee performance
Assists with auditions, interviewing and hiring
Generates daily assignments for employees
Performs property inspections, documenting as required
Checks and reports area statuses as needed
Inventories and orders departmental supplies
Creates work schedules; manages employee timesheet
Acts as “Manager on duty” representing the casino in resolving guest conflict for the property
Keeps staff informed of all pertinent information
Liaises with other departments as operational issues arise
Generates shift reports recording key statistics and incidents
Limits the number of accidents and injuries by promoting job safety
Approves or denies PTO requests
Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED or currently enrolled and to complete a GED within 6 months (required)
Must be 21 years of age or older
Associate’s Degree in Related field – required or two years of supervisory experience or one year as a Dual‑Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality Department or two years in the hiring position’s department (required)
One year of experience in an EVS, custodial or housekeeping position – required
Experience in customer relations or guest services – preferred
Must complete computer basics training within one year
Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
Must complete departmental training (e.g., hard surface, carpet surface, etc.)
Must obtain lift training certification annually
Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals
Must be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicals
Must be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead work
Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of 25 pounds up to two hours
Must be able to push or pull or maneuver a minimum of five to sixty pounds to assigned areas
Good writing and verbal communication skills required (skills test may be administered)
Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shift
Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
Must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for driving company vehicles as required
Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
Willing and able to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
Base Pay
Pay range: $22.40 – $30.38 (base pay depends on experience level and skill set)
