Duties and Responsibilities
Project a positive image
Greet all guests in corridors
Actively coach, mentor, and develop employees
Perform weekly audits of employee performance
Assist with auditions, interviewing, and hiring
Generate daily assignments for employees
Perform property inspections, documenting as required
Check and report area statuses as needed
Inventory and order departmental supplies
Create work schedules; manage employee timesheet
Act as “Manager on duty” representing the casino in resolving guest conflict for the property
Keep staff informed of all pertinent information
Liaise with other departments as operational issues arise
Generate shift reports recording key statistics and incidents
Limit the number of accidents and injuries by promoting job safety
Approve or deny PTO requests
Other duties & responsibilities as assigned
Job Requirements
High School diploma or GED required or currently enrolled and successfully complete a GED program within 6 months from start date as a condition of continued employment
Must be twenty-one (21) years of age or older
Associate’s Degree in related field – required
OR Two (2) years’ supervisory experience – required
OR One (1) year experience as a Dual-Rate Supervisor in a Wind Creek Hospitality Department – required
OR Two (2) years’ experience in the hiring position’s Department – required
One (1) year of experience in an EVS, custodial or housekeeping position – required
Experience in customer relations or guest services – preferred
Must participate in computer basics training course within one (1) year
Must successfully pass job interview, including a guest service audition
Must participate in departmental training (ex: hard surface, carpet surface, etc.)
Must obtain certification in lift training annually
Must have knowledge of cleaning chemicals
Must be willing and able to work in the presence of solvents and cleaning chemicals
Must be able to climb a ladder to perform overhead work
Must be able to lift and maneuver a backpack vacuum of twenty-five (25) pounds up to two (2) hours
Must be able to push or pull or maneuver a minimum of five (5) to sixty (60) pounds to assigned areas
Good writing and verbal communication skills required (skills test may be administered)
Must be able to stand and/or walk for entire shift
Must be able to work effectively in a fast paced, high volume environment
Must be able to operate standard office equipment – phones, computers, etc.
Must have a valid and current State Driver’s License and an insurable driving record for purposes of driving company vehicles as required
Willing to travel and participate in training as recommended or required
Willing and able to work in a smoke/secondary smoke environment
Must have an Occupational License (or the ability to obtain and maintain a license) pursuant to the Illinois Gaming Act and remain in good standing with the Illinois Gaming Board as a requirement for this position
Base Pay
Pay range – $22.40 - $30.38 (The base pay will depend on factors such as experience level and skillset.)
