Overview
Legacy Heights is hiring Resident Care Associates (RCAs) to support residents in our assisted living and memory care neighborhoods. The RCA reports directly to the Family Experience Director, Director of Family Experience, or Assistant Family Experience Director and is responsible for delivering high‑quality, personalized care while maintaining a safe, comfortable home‑like environment.
Shift Details Mon‑Fri; every other weekend required.
Responsibilities
Participate in the development and updates of Personalized Service Plans and attend review meetings with families as requested.
Follow the hydration schedule established for residents during the shift.
Complete resident meal attendance sheets and ensure any resident not dining in the dining room receives room service or is accounted for.
Know and comply with all resident rights.
Initiate, assign, and assist with activities as appropriate.
Check all assigned residents daily for cleanliness, appropriate clothing, continence issues, and changes in condition.
Use proper sanitary procedures and universal precautions.
Check assigned resident rooms daily for general cleanliness and neatness and take appropriate action; double‑check high‑risk rooms.
Assist with conducting laundry rooms, common areas (including bathrooms) checks for cleanliness and any exposed hazardous chemicals; contact housekeeping or personally clean the room as necessary.
Complete all ADLs for assigned residents according to the resident’s Personalized Service Plan (PSP).
Respond to the security system and resident call bells promptly and reset call bells as needed.
Qualifications
High school education preferred and may be required by the state.
Previous experience working with elders or disabled individuals preferred.
Must be at least 18 years of age to perform the personal care aspects of the RCA position.
Knowledge and experience in the Assisted Living industry and Dementia care or Skilled Nursing preferred.
Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours; available to customers during peak service delivery days and times.
