Job Description A Kroger Deli Clerk creates an outstanding customer experience through exceptional service while encouraging other associates to do the same. As a Deli team member, you will establish and maintain a safe and clean environment that encourages our customers to return. Deli Clerk assists the department manager in reaching sales and profit goals established for the department and monitors all established quality assurance standards. Responsibilities
Prepare food items for the cold case, fresh pack, salad, and hot bars.
Measure, prepare, and mix ingredients according to recipe.
Label, date, cover, rotate, and monitor deli items for quality and freshness.
Maintain knowledge of products and answer customer questions.
Provide excellent customer service and suggestive selling.
Adhere to food safety regulations.
Perform essential functions and other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Outstanding customer service skills.
Desire to learn food production and cooking techniques.
Effective communication and teamwork.
Strong work ethic and ability to work fast‑paced.
Good basic math skills.
Ability to obtain current food handlers permit.
