A&P Technician - Mobile Repair Team (MRT)
Bilingual title: A&P Technician – Mobile Repair Team (MRT) – Pratt & Whitney.
Location Remote – Office: Orlando, FL.
Up to 90% travel across U.S. and internationally.
Job Summary Pratt & Whitney seeks an A&P Technician for its Mobile Repair Team (MRT). The role involves on‑wing engine inspections, repairs, and installations for P&W customers at service centers, airfields, and other U.S. and international locations.
Key Responsibilities
Perform mobile repair activities in U.S. and non‑U.S. locations.
Refurbish and return engines, modules, and components to service.
Maintain availability status for aircraft on‑ground (AOG) situations.
Provide hangar and field support, interface with airframe, and maintain direct customer communication.
Conduct engine troubleshooting and diagnostics, including EEC software upgrades.
Support all PWC Program activities as required.
Work flexible hours, including after‑hours, weekends, and holidays.
Travel up to % of the time nationally and internationally.
Qualifications You Must Have
Associate degree or equivalent 2‑year post‑high‑school training with a minimum of 6+ years’ experience in inspection, refurbishment, troubleshooting, repairs, and return to service of engines, modules, and components.
Airframe & Powerplant license.
U.S. citizenship.
Valid driver’s license; ability to obtain U.S. passport and international visa.
Preferred Qualifications
Prior Pratt & Whitney engine experience, especially hot‑section inspection.
Prior P&WC powered airframe experience.
4‑year degree in Aviation Maintenance Management.
Experience in heavy hangar/FBO/field operations – rigging, R&I, MRP’s, aircraft interface.
