Overview In office position – Torrance, CA. This role processes, verifies, and maintains accurate records on incoming and outgoing orders and shipments under supervision of management. This is not a warehouse position; it is an office role focused on processing customer orders.
Responsibilities
Review and process non‑EDI and EDI purchase orders accurately and on time to meet customer needs.
Oversee distribution of sample orders for internal and external customers, packing, sealing, and labeling orders for shipment using office tools.
Resolve problems related to transportation, logistics systems, import/export, or customer issues.
Collaborate with other departments to integrate logistics with business processes such as customer sales, order management, accounting, or shipping.
Enter invoice data in QuickBooks.
Record shipment data (weight, dimensions, damages, discrepancies) for reporting or record‑keeping purposes.
Communicate regularly with 3PL vendors.
Prepare documents for export permits and orders for all Canadian purchase orders.
Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes, representing the company professionally.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
1–3 years of experience in warehousing, inventory control, import/export, and distribution of goods.
Adaptable, flexible, responsive, and resourceful in a fast‑paced, quick‑turn business model.
Organized, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks.
Demonstrates knowledge and skills related to duties and responsibilities.
Proficient with data entry and Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
EDI (SPS Commerce) and QuickBooks experience is a plus.
Japanese and English business‑level speaking and writing is a plus.
Ability to commute to the office daily.
