Key Responsibilities
Perform calculations to determine the amount, timing, and location of stream depletions for municipal augmentation plans.
Prepare monthly accounting of plan operations to demonstrate compliance with court decrees.
Coordinate with staff, consulting engineers, and associations to maintain accurate records.
Develop and maintain spreadsheets and databases for evaluating compliance with water court decrees.
Audit water accounting and diversions, including physical inspection of structures.
Minimum Qualifications
Six (6) years of relevant experience in scientific field investigations, municipal water operations, or Colorado water administration.
Or a combination of related education and experience equal to six (6) years.
Preferred Qualifications
Current or former State experience relevant to this position.
Knowledge of Colorado water rights and augmentation plans.
Water administration experience.
Proficiency with Google and Microsoft suites, including Google Sheets and Excel.
Experience assisting customers and public outreach.
Work Arrangement
Hybrid: primarily at the Division Office with a combination of remote work and occasional field time.
Conditions of Employment
Must possess a Colorado Driver’s License.
Must be able to work in off‑road and rugged terrain.
Must be willing to perform physical tasks up to 50 lbs.
Must be prepared to support records in deposition or court testimony.
