Position Summary
To meet organizational goals through effective and efficient management of raw material requirements in planning, scheduling, and execution. The role involves placing orders, expediting shipments of raw materials, and maintaining positive relationships with suppliers and plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
Create and maintain purchase orders in ERP for Operations, Procurement, R&D, and customer order systems.
Collaborate with suppliers and Mactac plants to maintain finished goods and replenishment programs at specified levels.
Expedite raw material orders, resolve shortages, and address late delivery issues.
Resolve supply, pricing, quality, and delivery issues as applicable.
Calculate tolling requirements and raw material availability to support tolling schedules.
Maintain raw material inventory levels at minimum dollar value and maximum turns.
Manage inbound raw material requirements across operations to minimize manufacturing costs, maximize efficiency, and meet customer expectations.
Develop and maintain monthly forecasts for specified raw materials or finished goods.
Support the Procurement/Sourcing Manager as directed.
Selection Criteria
Education:
4‑year college degree preferred, not required; minimum of 2 years procurement experience.
Minimum of 2 years overall work experience, with at least 1 year in a purchasing role preferred.
Some sourcing experience preferred.
Experience:
Demonstrated understanding of purchase order process and 3‑way matching.
Experience with inventory management preferred.
Ability to manage multiple projects independently.
High level of professionalism and strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills.
Highly motivated, self‑directed worker.
Other:
Legal authorization to work in the U.S.; no visa sponsorship.
Relocation: Eligible or ineligible for relocation.
