What You’ll Do
Lead and manage survey crews in the field to complete boundary, topographic, and construction staking surveys.
Plan and organize survey activities, determining the best methods, procedures, and equipment for each project.
Operate and oversee the use of total stations, GPS, and other instruments.
Collect accurate field data and ensure proper documentation for project deliverables.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, clients, and team members to meet project requirements.
Maintain safety standards and compliance on all job sites.
Keep thorough field notes, records, and project documentation.
Mentor and train junior crew members, supporting their professional growth.
Stay current on new technologies, industry trends, and regulations.
What We’re Looking For
2+ years of experience as a survey crew chief or instrument operator.
Proficiency with total stations, GPS equipment, and surveying instruments.
Leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate crews.
Strong communication, problem‑solving, and attention to detail.
Experience with Trimble Business Center or similar software.
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
