Job Description
STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING COACH (T232641)
Responsible for all areas involving strength and conditioning of student athletes. Serve as fitness consultant to staff.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
Develops and implements team and individualized conditioning programs for student-athletes participating in all sports and the overall management of the University.
Designs total conditioning programs applicable to all sports during pre-season, in-season and off-season periods and separate programs of weight training, running, flexibility or secondary rehabilitation to meet the needs of individual position areas.
Assists coaches in evaluating individual player performance and potential and ensures proper supervision of student-athletes in the weight room, including instruction in techniques of training with machines and free-weights, as well as safety procedures.
Adheres to all institution, conference and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) rules and regulations. Reports all known NCAA violations in accordance with institutional, conference and NCAA policies and guidelines.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in a related field and three (3) years of related experience required.
Work experience may NOT substitute for education requirement. Certified through a nationally accredited strength and conditioning certification program required.
