Job title
Food & Beverage Host
Purpose
Provide excellent customer service in hotel restaurant and bar. Greeting guests, taking orders, serving food and drinks, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Responsibilities
Welcome guests, direct them to tables, maintain a clean and inviting space. Present menus, answer questions, accurately record orders. Deliver food and beverages promptly, ensure proper presentation and temperature. Refill drinks, clear used plates, maintain clean dining area. Process payments by credit card or room charge. Use initiative to handle customer complaints with positive attitude and resolve issues. Set up tables appropriately and keep area tidy. Relay orders accurately, address issues with preparation, coordinate service. Actively look for opportunities to grow revenue and identify upselling opportunities.

What you’ll need Experience
Previous experience in a customer-facing role (Food and Beverage preferred). Confidence using IT systems and software (including Microsoft Office).
Skills
Customer Service: Friendly, attentive, handle wide range of interactions. Natural influencing skills, manage expectations. Excellent verbal and non-verbal communication. Knowledge of Food and Beverages: Familiarity with menu items, drink options, allergies, dietary restrictions. Attention to detail: Accurate order taking, correct presentation, clean dining area. Multitasking: Handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining efficiency. Problem-Solving: Address customer issues or resolve unexpected situations. Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with servers, kitchen staff, bar staff. Strong financial acumen, budgeting, forecasting, cost control.
