Join our team! We are seeking an experienced Repair Technician to provide quality repairs and customer service. This role includes conducting inspections, performing maintenance, and addressing mechanical or electrical issues. The technician must follow safety protocols, keep accurate service records, and work collaboratively with the team. Strong problem-solving skills and technical expertise are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Accountable for maintaining 80% of their time plus billable hours.

Travels to customer sites to perform equipment repairs as assigned by the supervisor.

Accurately diagnoses issues, completes necessary repairs, and determines appropriate part replacements for assigned tasks.

Manages daily service calls, ensuring proper accounting and reporting for accurate billing.

Records and tracks parts used to maintain accurate billing and inventory control.

Maintains and oversees the operation, maintenance, and cleanliness of the assigned work vehicle.

Collaborates with sales teams by identifying and reporting potential leads for new accounts and external customers.

Stay up to date with current and new equipment utilized at customer locations.

Ensure the service repair shop at Cottonwood Distribution remains safe, clean, and organized.

Actively participates in company meetings, including one-on-one discussions with leadership, team meetings, and safety briefings.

Adheres to all safety protocols to maintain a secure work environment in both the shop and the field.

Delivers exceptional customer service while performing fieldwork.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Skills & Requirements:

Must be 21 years of age or older

Requires a minimum of four (4) years of mechanical repair experience or completion of a certified mechanical trade program.

Ability to obtain equipment manufacturer training certifications.

Previous certifications are preferred but may be provided on the job.

Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.

Strong mathematical skills.

Proficient in both written and verbal English communication.

Highly detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and see them through to completion.

Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and inventory management software is a plus.

Ability to perform basic clerical tasks, including data entry and paperwork processing.

Capable of analyzing data, reviewing operational information, and recommending improvements to enhance performance.

Serves as a subject matter expert and assists in training new technicians or implementing new repair practices

Must maintain a safe driving record and comply with regular MVR monitoring.
