About the Position The Housekeeping Attendant is responsible for enhancing the overall resident experience by ensuring all areas of the community are neat, orderly, and welcoming for guests. The attention to detail and cleanliness of the community is paramount in delivering on the level of service Grand Living promises to its residents and their family members. The Housekeeping Assistant models the Sterling Touch® friendly, courteous, helpful, timely and professional manner, resulting in a very high level of resident satisfaction while providing housekeeping services and upkeep of all common areas and resident apartments. The position reports to the Director of Environmental Services and follows community standards, processes, procedures, practices, and philosophies.
Qualifications and Requirements
High School Diploma or GED, preferred.
Ability to read, write and speak English sufficiently to communicate with residents, guests and employees; to explain and record resident requests, comprehend work requests, differentiate individual linen use and care, product labels, and community communications.
Ability to scrub and scour surfaces, extend arms overhead to perform cleaning tasks, and work in narrow and confined spaces.
Ability to stand, walk, climb stairs, crouch, bend, stoop, reach, grasp, push, pull and work continuously without sitting for extended periods of time.
Ability to lift or carry up to 20 pounds and push or pull carts weighing up to 50 pounds.
