Full-Time | Competitive Pay – Up to $65/hr (based on experience) Available Hours: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM – 3:00 PM | 35–40 hours/week
YOUR IMPACT The Substantially Separate Special Education Teacher will provide intensive, individualized instruction and support to students in Pre‑K through 4th grade, as well as Elementary and High School students at a charter school located about 20 miles from Boston.
In this self‑contained classroom setting, you will:
Develop and implement individualized learning plans tailored to students’ academic, social, and behavioral needs.
Monitor and assess student progress regularly and adjust instruction accordingly.
Collaborate with educators, families, and support staff to promote students’ academic and social growth.
Support students with significant disabilities, including nonverbal students, students on the autism spectrum, students prone to tantrums or running, and wheelchairbound students.
The ideal candidate is a licensed Special Education Teacher passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students who require intensive support.
WHAT YOU NEED:
Valid Massachusetts Teaching License with Special Education (Moderate Disabilities) certification
Eligible to teach in MA through DESE
Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred
Designs & delivers individualized instruction for students with disabilities
Knowledge of MA Special Education laws and IEP development
Classroom experience Monday‑Friday, structured setting
Experience with students who are nonverbal, on the autism spectrum, prone to tantrums, runners, or wheelchairbound preferred
