Fixed and Removable Dental Technician

The Department of Restorative Dentistry invites qualified applicants for the Fixed and Removable Dental Technician position. The incumbent will fabricate complete and partial denture prostheses for edentulous and partially edentulous patients, including:
Creating dental casts from impressions; arranging artificial teeth and waxing contours; processing and refining prostheses using heat‑polymerized resin; performing repairs with autopolymerized resin and adapting clasps as needed.
Assist in the fabrication of fixed prosthodontic restorations, including crowns, bridges, and implant‑supported restorations using alloys, ceramics, and resin‑based materials.
Utilize digital dentistry technologies, such as CAD/CAM systems, digital impression scanning, and design software, to support the production of fixed and removable prostheses.

Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated manual dexterity that displays sound 3‑D spatial and visual perceptions.
Ability to read and write English to accommodate doctor’s prescriptions and work authorizations.
Fluent understanding of laboratory terminology.
Familiarity with digital dentistry tools (CAD/CAM systems, digital scanning, design software).
Ability and willingness to follow detailed instructions.
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CDT Certification
Formal Technical Education (Harkness/ECC 2 yr)
Teaching or training experience
Salary Range Salary Range $45,000 - $55,000
