EP Device Technician
Location: Wheeler Heart & Vascular, 3800 S National Ave, Springfield, Missouri, United States of America, 65807.
Department: 1258 Electrophysiology SGF.
Hours: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, 40 hours per week, Day Shift.

Job Summary Independently, or under the direction of a physician, performs pacemaker, ICD, and other device interrogations; identifies normal and abnormal findings. Reviews and analyzes data from implanted devices using specific programs; creates summaries and reports of findings and test results. Reports abnormal findings to the appropriate provider and makes device changes as directed. Provides patient education regarding device use, monitoring, symptoms, testing follow‑up, and remote monitoring equipment.
Education
Required: Bachelor’s degree in any field.
Preferred: Registered Nurse.
Experience
Preferred: 1–2 years Telemetry experience.
Preferred: Prior ICU experience.
Preferred: Prior device or pacemaker experience.
Preferred: Understanding of cardiac arrhythmias/EKG strips.
Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Knowledge of current EP implantable devices.
Proficient in using computers and computer systems.
Excellent time management, interpersonal, presentation, organization, prioritizing, decision‑making, and planning skills.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
Licensure / Certification / Registration
Required: BLS within 90 days.
Required: ACLS within 12 months.
