Job Description We are seeking an energetic, reliable driver to deliver pizzas efficiently and provide excellent customer service.
Delivery Expert Job Requirements And Duties
Must be at least 18 years old, possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record, and have access to an insured vehicle available for delivery.
Possess customer service, navigational skills to read maps, locate addresses and navigate adverse terrain (multi‑story buildings etc.).
Licensed for the last 365 days and must be listed as an insured driver on the vehicle policy.
Pay $20.00 per hour, plus tips and mileage.
General Job Duties for All Team Members
Operate all equipment.
Stock ingredients from delivery area to storage, work area, and walk‑in cooler. Prepare product.
Receive and process telephone orders.
Take inventory and complete associated paperwork.
Clean equipment and facility daily.
Training Orientation and training provided on the job.
Communication Skills
Ability to comprehend and give correct written instructions.
Ability to communicate verbally with customers and co‑workers to process orders both over the phone and in person.
Essential Functions / Skills / Abilities
Accurate math (add, subtract, multiply, divide). May use calculator.
Make correct monetary change.
Verbal, written, and telephone skills to take and process orders.
Motor coordination between eyes and hands/fingers for quick, accurate movements.
Enter orders using a computer keyboard or touchscreen.
Navigate adverse terrain, including multi‑story buildings and private homes.
Work Conditions
Varying and sometimes adverse weather when removing trash and performing outside tasks.
In‑store temperatures range from 36°F in cooler to 90°F+ in some areas.
Sudden temperature changes inside and outside.
Fumes from food odors.
Exposure to cornmeal dust.
Cramped quarters including walk‑in cooler.
Hot surfaces or tools up to 500°F or higher.
Sharp edges and moving mechanical parts.
Sensory Requirements
Talking and hearing on telephone.
Near and mid‑range vision for most in‑store tasks.
Depth perception.
Ability to differentiate hot and cold surfaces.
Temperament The ability to direct activities, perform repetitive tasks, work alone and with others, work under stress, meet strict quality control standards, deal with people, analyze and compile data, make judgments and decisions.
Physical Requirements
Standing: most tasks performed from a standing position.
Walking: short distances, short durations. Surfaces include ceramic tile, brick, linoleum.
Sitting: paperwork completed in an office at a desk or table.
Lifting: bulk product deliveries up to 50 lb, cases stacked up to 72 in height.
Carrying: cans 3 lb 70 oz, pizza sauce 30 lb, trays of dough ~12 lb.
Pushing / Pulling: dolly trays 24–30 in, force up to 7.5 lb.
Climbing: occasional stairs or ladder.
Stooping/Bending: forward bending at pizza assembly station, repeated periods.
Crouching/Squatting: occasionally to stock shelves and clean low areas.
Reaching: up, down, forward; up to 72 in high; down for scooping cornmeal or washing dishes.
Hand Tasks: eye‑hand coordination continuous; forceful use of forearms and wrists; manipulate pizza peel, rolling cutter, cardboard boxes.
Machines, Tools, Equipment: pencils, pens, computers, telephones, calculators, TDD equipment, pizza cutter, pizza peel.
Advancement Many team members begin as delivery drivers and progress to franchise owners, managers, corporate operations, or franchisee roles.
