Primary Purpose Enable students to pursue their education with minimal interruption in the absence of the regularly assigned classroom teacher.
Qualifications
Education/Certification:
High School Diploma or GED, required
Valid Teaching Certificate:
preferred
Degree or at least 60 college semester hours:
preferred
Special Knowledge and Skills
Demonstrated written and oral communication skills
Professionalism in the classroom and with interactions of administration /staff
Completion of an Irving ISD Guest Educator Orientation
Flexibility/adaptability to changing environments
Must speak and understand conversational and proper English
Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written)
Ability to read and comprehend written materials (lesson plans, student information, textbooks, policy and procedure)
Experience Experience working with children and students, preferred.
