Cocktail Server – El Torito
Pay Rate : $16.90 / hour, plus tips.
Purpose The Cocktail Server welcomes guests, accurately takes and delivers all food and beverage orders, and ensures timely service to guests’ satisfaction.
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide guests with accurate information on menu items, pricing, and allergen information.
Recognize and cultivate regular guests and repeat business.
Enter orders promptly and accurately into the POS system.
Ensure all food and drinks are served immediately and according to specifications.
Replenish stock during the shift as necessary.
Move furniture and equipment as directed by management.
Respond to guest concerns, correct errors, and resolve complaints while maintaining a positive attitude.
Comply with all safety and health department procedures and all state and federal liquor laws.
Maintain company safety and sanitation standards.
Process payments by cash, credit card, venue comps, and other tender types.
Collect required signatures and promptly close guest checks.
Ensure accurate accounting of all monies and comply with independent banking procedures.
Sign all cash out slips legibly.
Complete all nightly, weekly, and opening/closing duties.
Report equipment failures and safety hazards immediately.
Assist with or complete additional tasks as assigned.
Qualifications & Skills
High School Diploma preferred.
Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
Valid Driver’s License.
21+ years of age.
Possession of or the ability to obtain all state-required work cards.
Minimum of two (2) years related experience.
Experience with POS systems.
Familiarity with beer and spirits.
Proper lifting techniques.
Guest relations skills.
Sanitation and safety knowledge.
Safe alcohol service knowledge.
Full‑service restaurant operations experience.
Ability to communicate effectively and assertively in English, both verbally and in writing.
