Job Summary The Tennis Center Shop Assistant aids in tennis pro-shop by helping customers with purchases and restocking products and supplies.

Responsibilities

Provides customers with retail assistance; provides information about products; records customer sales with charge accounts or cash; makes change.

Answers Tennis Center telephone; provides information or directs caller/visitor to appropriate staff.

Maintains staff confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential.

Promotes the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, to include adhering to all departmental policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the University, the Big 12 Conference and the NCAA.

Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience 16 years of age or older

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Knowledge of office techniques.

Knowledge of basic customer service techniques.

Skill in the use of Microsoft Office to include Word, Excel and Outlook.

Skill in effective written and verbal communications.

Skill in money handling and register use.
