Job Description Pharmacy Technicians assist pharmacists in preparing and distributing medications, maintaining the drug inventory and patient records. Pharmacy technicians work only under the supervision of a registered pharmacist. They do not perform duties that can legally be performed only by a registered pharmacist. Must staff majority of time in a hazardous compounding role.
Education
Required: Annual sterile compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency program.
Required: Annual hazardous drug compounding competency CE completed through current sterile compounding competency.
Preferred: High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Experience
Required: 1-2 years related experience.
Skills
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Able to work independently and collaboratively in teams.
Proficient in using computers and computer systems such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Licensure, Certification, Registration
Required: Must be certified as a Pharmacy Technician through a nationally accredited Pharmacy organization.
Required: Registered with the Missouri State Board of Pharmacy as a pharmacy technician or application in process upon hire and obtained within 90 days of hire.
