We promote hope and empowerment to persons and families touched by mental illness, substance abuse, HIV and multiple occurring diagnoses, and their related challenges.
Responsibilities
Maintain safety, including techniques to address disruptive, uncooperative persons.
Follow policies and procedures established by BCCS; offer support and model service behaviors and concern resolution processes.
Provide crisis intervention and respond to urgent or emergency situations in a way that minimizes trauma to clients and staff, resulting in stabilization.
Patrol building and parking lots to prevent loitering, unauthorized parking and smoking.
Direct traffic safely in BCCS parking lots.
Monitor parking lots, BCCS grounds, and buildings to ensure safety.
Assist handicapped clients to enter the clinic when necessary.
Keep order and maintain an orderly line in dispensing.
Assist nurses in the event of a client incident.
Assist with maintaining safe and clean grounds.
Write incident reports.
Provide assistance to unruly, uncooperative and disruptive clients in removing them from premises.
Assist with snow and ice removal when necessary to ensure business parameters are safe.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Program Manager.
Maintain daily contact with clients to uphold a safe and secure environment.
Requirements
HS diploma or GED OR 5 years of verified work experience is required.
Preferred: 1 year experience in the drug and alcohol field.
Preferred: 1 year de‑escalation experience.
This position requires the ability to stand for the length of the shift and to be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Schedule
Saturday and Sunday
8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Pay
Starting at $17/hr.
Commensurate with experience.
