Position Overview: A growing manufacturing company in the North Houston / IAH area is seeking an experienced
Accounts Payable Specialist
who is
bilingual in French and English . This hybrid role supports daily accounts payable functions while serving as a key point of contact for both domestic and international vendors. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
Communicate with domestic and international vendors in
French and English
to resolve invoice discrepancies and payment inquiries (Canada)
Perform invoice matching, coding, and approval routing
Reconcile vendor statements and research outstanding items
Assist with weekly check runs, ACH, and wire payments
Maintain accurate AP records and ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies
Support month-end close activities related to accounts payable
Collaborate with purchasing, receiving, and accounting teams to resolve discrepancies
Qualifications:
Bilingual proficiency in
French and English
(required)
3+ years of accounts payable experience, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting systems (ERP experience preferred)
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Preferred Experience:
Manufacturing or supply chain accounting experience
Experience supporting international vendors
ERP system experience (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, or similar)
