As the Front Desk Receptionist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well‑being, and happiness of the dogs coming into our care. You will greet the pet parents and their pups with a smile. A passion for animals and a strong work ethic are essential to excel in this role.
Responsibilities
Check dogs in and out for boarding and daycare using our daycare system.
Maintain a smooth traffic flow when multiple dogs arrive at the same time.
Answer phones, respond to emails and keep things running smoothly.
Manage reservations, payments and documents.
Follow standards for safety when handling dogs, particularly aggressive dogs or escape artists.
Ensure the facility meets or exceeds our expectations with regards to cleanliness and safety.
Clean and sanitize all common and front end areas.
Use disinfectants and other chemicals safely as instructed.
Pick up and dispose of trash or debris in all areas of the property.
You will be the Go‑To human for all things front desk and customer service.
Qualifications
Friendly, organized, and calm under pressure.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
Comfortable around dogs of all breeds and sizes.
Strong knowledge of dog behavior and body language and willingness to learn more.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to handle conflict with tact and diplomacy.
Able to perform tasks that involve bending, lifting, and standing for long periods.
Able to take direction well and apply it independently.
Mature, responsible, dependable, punctual, and a strong work ethic.
Basic computer skills.
Prior front desk or customer service experience is a plus.
Flexible schedule. Holidays and weekends are required. Full‑time AND Part‑time available.
