Join the team at Baker College! We're looking for a part-time Barista for the Culinary Institute of Michigan at our Muskegon Campus—bring your skills and be part of something great!

Are you ready to showcase your skills in customer service and precision? As a Barista at the CIM, you'll be at the heart of our operations, ensuring accurate transaction processing and daily register balancing. Work in a fast‑paced environment while adhering to Muskegon County Health Department's food safety and sanitation standards.

As a Barista at Baker College, you will provide outstanding customer service by preparing specialty coffees, teas, and smoothies, and offering high‑quality baked goods and pastries. You will be responsible for maintaining a positive and professional attitude while representing the college and ensuring a clean, well‑organized, and sanitary work environment in compliance with Muskegon County Health Department sanitation and food‑safety procedures. Additional duties include:

Managing the weekly schedule, inventory, and product ordering

Accurately processing customer transactions

Performing register balance functions

Overseeing quality control for baked goods

Adhering to the professional dress code

Attending all staff meetings, training, and events

Assisting in training, coaching, and mentoring new employees

Key qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

At least one year of cashier and customer service experience preferred

Previous experience as a Barista and familiarity with supervisory roles and register balancing desirable

Strong written and verbal communication skills essential

Excellent time management and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

The successful candidate will embody and support the student‑first philosophy, contributing to the overall success of Baker College while acting as a positive role model and brand ambassador both on and off campus.
