As a Banquet Set-Up, you will be responsible for setting up, inspecting, and ensuring rooms are ready for the functions.
Position: Hourly, Part-time Location: Gold Strike Casino
Responsibilities PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Set banquet rooms as per diagrams and BEOs.
Inspect rooms to make sure rooms are clean before and after functions.
Ensure set-up is correct according to specifications on the floor plan and ready 30 minutes before the start time of the function.
Place sign on meeting rooms.
Refresh meeting rooms.
Clean and dismantle room set-ups.
Keep storage areas in proper order.
Gather all equipment needed for designated setup.
Perform other job-related duties as requested.
Qualifications MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
High school diploma or equivalent.
One (1) year fast‑paced, high‑volume banquet set up and porter experience or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
Must be capable of following directions.
Must possess good recall and memory.
Able to effectively communicate in English, in both written and verbal forms.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS & WORKING CONDITIONS:
Must be capable of doing heavy lifting.
