As an Arrhythmia Technician you will play a vital role in supporting cardiology services. Job Responsibilities
Analyze test results and provide necessary reports to physicians
Review and interpret real-time or recorded ECG data from remote cardiac monitors.
Identify and classify arrhythmias, ischemic changes, and abnormal heart rhythms
Ensure accurate documentation and compliance with HIPAA and medical regulations
Effectively communicate ECG abnormalities based on critical and non-critical alerts as outlined in the notification protocols to providers for each site. Facilitate activation of EMS, if indicated
Address patient questions and provide necessary support and education on cardiac monitor hook-up for connectivity as needed
Responsible for following protocols to ensure compliance and troubleshooting patients’ reasons for non-compliance
Responsible for accessing multiple software systems to determine if a patient is connected and compliant with their remote monitoring
Notify physicians or healthcare teams of critical or life-threatening EKG findings
Document patient-reported symptoms and correlate them with EKG data
Prepare detailed end-of-study reports for cardiologists and healthcare teams
Log all interpretations and findings in electronic health records as needed (EHR/EMR)
Follow clinic protocols for data transmission and storage
Work with cardiac telemetry software, mobile ECG platforms, and cloud-based monitoring tools
Job Requirements
High school diploma or GED equivalent
Minimum one (1) year of experience as an EKG Technician
Knowledge of basic anatomy and physiology
Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
Excellent customer service and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to provide patient education on EKG procedures
Completion of an accredited Arrhythmia Technician program or equivalent clinical training
Certification as a CertifiedCardiographicTechnician (CCT) or equivalent
Advanced knowledge of cardiac rhythms and arrhythmias
Ability to interpret EKGs andidentifysignificant findings
Strong understanding of cardiac anatomy and physiology
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
Ability tomaintainpatient confidentiality in compliance with HIPAA regulations
Availability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays ifrequired
Ability to work in a high-stress environment and make decisions quickly
Work Environment This is a Hybrid position. Team members are expected to have a reliable internet connection and a quiet, dedicated workspace that supports focused, independent work. While the role offers flexibility in daily scheduling, employees are expected to be available during the hours of 6 AM to 6 PM CST
The team collaborates using virtual tools such as video conferencing (Teams), instant messaging (Teams), and project management platforms (SharePoint). Regular virtual check-ins, team meetings, and one-on-one sessions foster connectivity and accountability in a remote-first culture.
