Job Summary
Join the Omni Hospitality team as a Cocktail Server at the Royal Lobby Bar, located at Omni Royal Orleans in the heart of New Orleans’ French Quarter. This role requires delivering exceptional service to guests in a highly visible, luxury environment while supporting a dynamic bar operation.
Responsibilities
Assist the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs with restaurant, banquet, and specialty dessert menu preparation.
Greet all guests promptly, courteously, and professionally.
Practice upselling and suggestive selling when taking orders.
Pick up and deliver orders efficiently.
Deliver beverages to guests as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized lounge and service areas; monitor guest tables.
Ensure service areas are cleaned and cleared regularly.
Process guest payments accurately and courteously upon departure.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a commercial kitchen preferred.
Pastry baking experience preferred.
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including AM and PM shifts, weekends, and holidays.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Must hold a valid Food Handler Certification and Louisiana Responsible Vendor Card.
Must be available to work Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Working Environment
Work performed inside the hotel in restaurant and kitchen areas, with exposure to humidity, steam, and high temperatures.
Exposure to food and beverage preparation areas and hazardous cleaning chemicals.
Frequent contact with food and beverage items.
Tools & Equipmenth3>
Coffee maker/urn, toaster, microwave, and beverage machines
Bus trays, dishware, silverware, and glassware
Queen-Mary cart for transporting items
Telephone, pens/pencils, and photocopying machine
Uses computers, printers, telephones, pens/pencils, photocopy machines, filing systems, and fax machines as needed.
