Job Overview
As a Field Merchandiser, you'll have the opportunity to work independently to showcase your organization and time‑management skills, establish retailer relationships, and be the face of Hallmark. You will collaborate with local store teams to optimize product placement, maintain inventory levels, and support fellow team members with seasonal resets and installations as needed. In some cases, you may work with other product sponsors in the stores you service.
Salary and Schedule Details
Your starting hourly pay rate will be $15.00 – $15.50, depending on your skills and experience.
Eligible employees receive annual pay increases.
This is a part‑time position with a variable schedule during the work week.
Average weekly hours for this position are between 4–6.
Availability the week before and after major holidays, which may include weekends, is required.
Your Role and Responsibilities Will Include
Day‑to‑day engagement: Using a mobile device provided by Hallmark, you will restock, organize, and monitor Hallmark product inventory within and outside the Hallmark department. Technology is critical for day‑to‑day work, communication with supervisors, reporting time, providing feedback, and answering required merchandising surveys. Professional and courteous interaction with store employees, management, and customers is vital.
Holiday support: Leading up to and following holidays such as Valentine's Day, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas, you may be required to work additional days and extended hours, including on the holiday itself and weekends.
Department resets: You may be part of a team responsible for installing and relocating Hallmark fixtures, moving card departments, and resetting card sections. Assignments are typically notified two weeks in advance and may require evenings or weekends.
Team collaboration: You are part of Hallmark’s field organization, a network of merchandisers that often support each other in their territories.
Physical Requirements
This is a physically demanding job that requires a high level of energy and a sense of urgency. You will work on the selling floor and in back stockrooms, consistently pushing, pulling, lifting, and carrying cartons, merchandise, and display fixtures up to 30 lbs during the workday and up to 50 lbs on occasion. You must also kneel, squat, walk, and stand throughout the day, and may be required to climb stairs and step ladders.
Basic Qualifications
You are at least 18 years of age.
You can read, write, and understand English.
You can safely lift and carry products up to 30 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally.
You can operate a digital hand‑held device to open and read documents.
You have access to a Wi‑Fi network and the internet.
You have reliable transportation to travel to assigned stores as scheduled.
