Overview The Activities Aide delivers and leads life enrichment programs. Calendar is filled with activities that are therapeutic and promote health and well-being. If you like to engage in games and crafts, this position may be for you.
Responsibilities
You will promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, their families, and visitors; foster a positive, healthy environment to support healing and thriving.
You will assist and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
You will encourage attendance and transport to and from life enrichment programs.
You will evaluate patients based on background, life enrichment interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs for meaningful programs.
You will develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.
Qualifications
1+ year of related experience in long-term care preferred.
Associates in Music or Recreational Therapy is preferred.
Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care.
Team player who cooperates to support teammates and complete tasks.
Employment details
Location: Hoyt Nursing & Rehab Centre, 1202 Weiss St, Saginaw, MI 48602
Scheduling: 8-hour shifts with rotating weekends and some holidays; part-time
