Position Summary This role leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores and providing feedback. It involves Tour-to-Teach communication, collaborating with all levels of associates regarding store operations, utilizing technology business initiatives, merchandising, and company direction, introducing and leading change efforts, and implementing business solutions while communicating objectives to teams. The coach models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards under the One Best Way (OBW) service model, manages customer service initiatives, resolves complaints and issues, and develops action plans to correct deficiencies. Drives the financial performance, sales, and profit of the designated store area by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, forecasting, and controlling expenses. Provides supervision, training, mentoring, recognition, and development opportunities for hourly associates, hires, trains, mentors, assigns duties, and promotes belonging, integrity, and ethical behavior in compliance with company policies and the Open Door Policy. The coach builds high‑performing teams, embraces differences, fosters a culture of belonging, and acts with integrity to support Walmart’s regenerative goals and emerging inclusive cultures.

Compensation Base pay range:

$65,000.00/yr – $80,000.00/yr Additional compensation may include performance bonuses and regional pay zone adjustments.

Responsibilities Lead and develop teams by teaching, training, listening to associates, providing feedback, and coaching. Communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology, merchandising, and business initiatives. Introduce and lead company change efforts and implement business solutions. Model exceptional customer service under OBW, manage customer service initiatives, resolve complaints, and develop action plans. Drive financial performance and sales by reviewing PL statements, budgeting, and controlling expenses. Supervise and develop hourly associates: hire, train, mentor, assign duties, set expectations, recognize achievement, and develop talent. Coordinate job‑related activities and oversight, develop relationships with stakeholders, and support company mission and values. Promote a culture of belonging, integrity, and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.

For facilities that sell firearms, successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training.

For facilities that sell only ammunition and have state specific requirements, completion of a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility.

Attending and completing all job‑required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

Drug‑free workplace policy: no tolerance for illegal drugs or alcohol on the job.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University, or Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.

General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.
