Position Summary Leads and develops teams effectively through training, coaching, and active listening. Collaborates with all levels of associates to improve store operations, implement change initiatives, and communicate business objectives. Demonstrates exceptional customer service, manages service initiatives and community outreach, and resolves customer issues and process improvements. Drives financial performance by reviewing P&L statements, budgeting, forecasting, merchandise presentation, inventory flow, shrink mitigation, and sales and profit goals.

Provides supervision and development for hourly associates: hiring, training, mentoring, setting expectations, recognizing performance, and building high‑performing teams that embrace diversity and promote belonging. Ensures compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy.

Acts with integrity, supports Walmart’s regenerative mission, and exemplifies customer first principles. Continually seeks excellence through innovation, learning, and technology adoption.

Responsibilities

Teach, train, and coach associates to build skills and improve productivity.

Communicate with associates at all levels to drive operational excellence.

Model and deliver the One Best Way (OBW) service standards.

Identify and correct deficiencies through process improvement initiatives.

Analyze P&L statements and lead budgeting, forecasting, and expense control.

Maintain merchandise presentation, inventory flow, and shrink management.

Hire, develop, and evaluate hourly associates.

Build relationships with key stakeholders and support business initiatives.

Promote a culture of belonging and recognize associate contributions.

Ensure compliance with company policies, ethics, and the Open Door Policy.

Champion customer‑first service and continuous improvement.

Minimum Qualifications

2 years of college (or 1 year retail experience and 1 year supervisory experience; or 2 years general work experience and 1 year supervisory experience).

For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms‑specific criminal background check and firearms authorized training.

For facilities that sell ammunition and have state requirements: current state‑issued certificate of eligibility.

Completion of all required job‑training and assessments (e.g., Academy, Open Door trainings).

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.

Certificate of completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University.

General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing.

Compensation & Benefits

Annual salary range: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00.

Performance bonuses: annual or quarterly.

Additional compensation: Regional Pay Zone and complex structure based on external factors.
