Non CDL Route Driver
in
Huntsville AL . Our client is a local foodservice distributor. The
Non CDL Route Driver
is responsible for stocking shelves, displays, end caps and merchandisers in an organized manner.
Responsibilities of a
Non CDL Route Driver
Responsible for using proper vendor check-in/check-out procedures for each location assigned to you.
Responsible for stocking shelves, displays, end caps and merchandisers in an organized manner.
Products should be stocked where the product logo label is facing the consumer.
Responsible for keeping our area of the back rooms neat, clean and organized.
Responsible for rotating product, so newer product is behind the older product.
Responsible for removing outdated product from shelves/coolers/displays and returning to back room for disposal per company procedures.
Responsible for following appropriate food handling, safety and sanitation standards.
Responsible for maintenance and cleaning of shelving, coolers, racks, gliders and any other company owned equipment.
Responsible for communicating all opportunities and product needs to supervisors.
Responsible for operating company vehicle in a safe and lawful manner.
Responsible for representing the company well by following all policies and procedures especially concerning cell phone usage and uniform policy.
Job Requirements of a
Non CDL Route Driver
Ability to lift approximately 50 lbs. on a repetitive basis from ground level and overhead.
Ability to work in a fast paced, demanding environment.
Ability to bend, kneel, stand, lift and perform physical labor for multiple hours at a time.
Ability to operate and maneuver a pallet jack with a weight load of approximately 2500 lbs.
Ability to read and understand store plan‑o‑gram and set instructions.
Ability to work in customer back rooms and storage areas which may not be air conditioned.
Passionate, values oriented, resourceful, self‑starter, team player and motivated to learn.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills as well as customer service skills.
Valid driver's license and excellent driving record are required.
Ability to work a flexible schedule to include some daily overtime, holidays, evenings and weekends.
Must be able to pass a pre‑employment background check and non‑DOT drug screen.
Must be able to safely and correctly operate a company vehicle under all types of circumstances, including intercity travel and maneuvering in the close confines of customer facilities.
