We are recruiting Underground Utility Locators in your area for a rewarding career. This is a full‑time position with a competitive hourly wage of $20.00 – $26.00.
Vannguard Utility Partners, Inc. seeks motivated, safety‑oriented individuals who are comfortable working outdoors and independently. Candidates will receive paid training and will be driving a company vehicle, using computer‑based utility maps and specialized locating equipment to prevent damage to underground utilities.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Drive a company vehicle to job sites in response to routine ticket requests, emergencies, and relocations.
Use mapping tools and locating equipment to identify underground utilities, including electric, gas, telephone, and other communication lines.
Mark utility locations with paint and flags and communicate relevant information to excavation personnel or authorities.
Respond to after‑hours emergency call‑outs according to the rotation schedule.

Required Knowledge, Skills And Attitude
Computer skills
Valid driver’s license in the applicable state
Ability to work overtime when necessary
Compliance with Vannguard’s drug‑free workplace program and completion of a pre‑employment drug screening
Self‑management and timely communication with supervisors and clients
Physical Demands
Drive 50 to 300+ miles daily as required by the assigned area
Enter and exit a vehicle 50+ times a day
Stand and walk long distances (1+ mile) over uneven terrain in all weather conditions
Sit for long periods while driving
Lift and/or move 50 to 150 pounds
Work outdoors in all weather conditions
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (Required)
License
