Qualifications
Paraprofessional License
Experiences in educational/school setting is beneficial
Evidence of subject matter competency preferred (e.g. degree major in content area, ISBE professional educator license with appropriate content area endorsement, work in related field, etc)
Professional/Personal Characteristics
Good communication, technology, and organizational skills
Demonstrate empathy and patience
Collaborates well with colleagues
Job Responsibilities
Provide high-impact tutoring for identified students.
Individual and/or group tutoring will focus on reviewing concepts, homework, and additional practice.
(SCIENCE ONLY - Collaborate with Science Department on the development and implementation of tutoring)
Collaborate with MTSS coordinator around the implementation of tutoring.
Assist students in accessing online resources.
Work in partnership with teachers to support individualized student needs.
New duties may be assigned as the position evolves and/or further needs are identified.
Application Process Candidates will be selected by Administration based on above criteria.
Work day is 7.5 hours per day with a duty-free 1/2 hour lunch and the hourly rate is $19.54 including benefits. Qualified candidates should possess Paraprofessional Licensure. Bilingual preferred.
