Overview
We are mixing it up in the Town of Addison. The new Hotel Dax is looking for you to make a splash at the Lobby Bar. A bartender's job involves preparing and serving drinks, creating a welcoming atmosphere, managing bar inventory, handling transactions, and ensuring responsible alcohol service by checking IDs and monitoring patrons, requiring strong customer service, multitasking, and knowledge of recipes in a fast-paced setting, often with evening/weekend shifts. Key Responsibilities
Customer Service: Greeting guests, taking orders, making recommendations, and resolving complaints. Beverage Preparation: Mixing cocktails, pouring drinks, and ensuring presentation and quality. Bar Operations: Maintaining cleanliness, washing glassware, restocking supplies, and managing inventory. Sales & Transactions: Operating POS systems, handling cash/cards, and potentially upselling. Compliance: Checking IDs, enforcing alcohol laws, and adhering to health/safety standards. Menu & Specials: Developing drink menus and informing customers about new items. Essential Skills & Qualifications
Customer Focus: Friendly, engaging, and personable demeanor. Knowledge: Understanding of drink recipes, ingredients, and responsible alcohol service. Efficiency: Ability to work quickly and accurately under pressure. Communication: Clear interaction with guests and team members. Technical Skills: POS system proficiency. Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and work long shifts. Certifications: TABC and Food Handler's must be acquired by first day. Seniority level
