Cook (Full Time and Part Time)
at TouchPoint Support Services
Location: St. Vincent Indianapolis, 2001 West 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46260. Online applications accepted only.
Schedule: Full time and part time; Monday through Friday, hours may vary, including every other weekend; more details upon interview.
Pay Range: $15.00 - $16.50 per hour.
Responsibilities
Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and attractive and tasty; taste all prepared items.
Use established ticket procedures during service; maintain records from area worked during service periods.
Clean kitchen after preparation and serving; maintain high standards of cleanliness. Store or discard excess food per safe handling procedures.
Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; store food and supplies per standards.
Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required.
Assist in the ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
Attend in-service and safety meetings; maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers.
Follow HACCP standards; ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures.
Adhere to all company policies and procedures including safety practices and appropriate use of gloves, oven mitts, and proper footwear.
Qualifications
Previous food service experience, such as line cook or prep cook; good communication skills.
