Overview Right At School provides local school districts before and after school extended day programs with a focus on disguised learning activities and daily enrichment dedicated to the success of all students. Right At School’s mission emphasizes inspiring a love of learning, supporting schools, and giving families peace of mind. We build a team of mission‑driven individuals passionate about fostering a love of learning and creating safe, engaging experiences for children. Our vision is to bring exceptional, affordable programs to as many students, families, and schools as possible while providing a safe environment for children to explore and grow.
Pay Rate:
$21 – $23 per hour (based on education and experience)
Program Hours:
Monday – Friday, 1:30 pm – 6:00 pm
Key Responsibilities
Daily Program Meetings: Review goals and updates, share ideas, discuss professional progress, encourage collaboration, and maintain team accountability.
Organize and Facilitate Daily Activities: Prepare activities and curriculum that align with program objectives and lead structured fitness, activities, and curriculum that are educational and enjoyable for all ages.
Lead by Example: Maintain a safe and nurturing environment, model positive guidance, and practice effective classroom management.
Prioritize Safety and Joy: Monitor the environment, address potential hazards, and follow all safety protocols, including documenting attendance, incidents, and other observations.
Communicate Effectively: Engage children, parents, staff, and school personnel with clear communication.
Ideal Candidates Should Have
Outstanding customer service and relationship‑building skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
At least 1 year of experience working with children under 13 years of age (preferred)
Ability to lift 25 lbs
Drive to inspire a love for learning and commitment to healthy living
Flexibility to support additional local programs as needed
California Requirements
Meet state‑specific requirements
Cleared tuberculosis test and health screening
Authorized to work in the US
18 + years of age
Proof of high school diploma/GED required
LiveScan fingerprint background check cleared
