Dispensing Pharmacist - Long Term Care - Part Time Location:

Miami Gardens, FL (Optional locations: Davie, FL; Fort Lauderdale, FL).

Employment Type:

Part-time.

Anticipated Weekly Hours:

20.

Pay Range:

$50.48 - $84.62 per hour.

Responsibilities

Execute day‑to‑day operations in the pharmacy as they pertain to workflow, production quotas, and deadlines.

Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal rules regarding the practice of pharmacy, including DEA policies and third‑party payer contract rules.

Supervise pharmacy production staff to ensure proper order entry, workflow, security of the pharmacy area, and adherence to delivery schedules.

Verify accuracy of labels, drug packaging, and all new and refill orders.

Prepare and/or supervise sterile IV drug products or solutions.

Assist in ordering, handling, receiving, documentation, and storage of controlled substances; maintain perpetual inventory for schedule II drugs.

Provide evening, weekend, and holiday coverage during on‑call rotation as required.

Follow HIPAA and all applicable government regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned; responsibilities may vary by location.

Education Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy (BS) or Pharm.D. from an accredited School of Pharmacy. Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing.

Qualifications

BS Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm.D. from an accredited School of Pharmacy.

Current license to practice pharmacy in good standing.

Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

At least 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

At least 2 years of long‑term care experience.

Immunization certification or willingness to become certified.

Excellent organizational, time‑management, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.

Ability to work independently and coordinate pharmacy activities.

Strong analytical skills and ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts.

Knowledge of ASCP guidelines, state and federal regulations, and drug indicators for long‑term care centers.

Knowledge of all government regulations affecting pharmacy practice.

Physical Demands

Sit, stand, stoop, bend, and walk intermittently; may sit or stand 7–10 hours per day.

Finger dexterity required for office equipment.

May lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.

Visual acuity to see and read fine prints; requires close vision and color vision.

Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
