Are you passionate about pharmaceutical sciences and eager to make an impact? We are looking for a Phase1 trainee to join our research laboratory, where you will develop new dissolution methods to support drug development. In this position the goal is to enhance existing biorelevant dissolution methods and further develop them to better mimic the phenomena related to dissolution occurring in the gastrointestinal tract. The work will involve the use of in situ fiber optics and the development of new dissolution test setups to achieve this. A prominent part of the trainee’s duties will be laboratory work including the analytical tasks as well as the tasks related to daily laboratory maintenance. In addition, you will review results, summarize and make conclusions of the studies together with your team colleagues. You will do troubleshooting and re‑analyzing when necessary. Your work also includes data management. This role is based in Turku.

A Master’s program student in chemistry, pharmacy, or a related field, or a recent graduate.
Experience of laboratory work (chemical analytics or pharmaceutical research).
Knowledge of dissolution methodology as well as spectrophotometric techniques.
Ability and commitment to work independently in a laboratory, combined with an interest in applying science in practical laboratory work.
Flexibility for unpredictable workdays due to the nature of project work.
Finnish language skills sufficient for everyday work.
