ESSENTIAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Frequently sitting for extended periods of time

Safely and efficiently operate a rolloff truck to pickup and deliver to recycling centers and disposal sites.

Tarp and contain loads in receiver boxes and open tops.

Unload or assist in unloading finished product from rolloff-truck

Inspect load in trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and it is the correct load

Verify material while truck is being unloaded, as allowed by delivery sitesOperate rolloff-truck according to state laws

Transport load by required route to proper destination while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations

Complete daily timecard, driver logs, and all other work reports accurately and in a timely manner

Perform daily services such as - checking the oil level, water level, fuel, and air in tires

Report any maintenance items to supervision immediately

Assist in keeping the shipping warehouse and outside dock area clean and organized.

Clean assigned vehicle daily

Accurately maintain required driver's logs and other appropriate Department of Transportation paperwork

Use proper lifting, reaching, pushing, pulling, and bending techniques.

Perform each task in a manner which prevents bodily injury, equipment, and product damage

Observe all safety and health guidelines

Other duties may be assigned by supervision

Learn relevant local and company requirements, rules and procedures. Strictly follows rules and guidelines and always uses the right procedure for the job. Promptly reports incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions or processes. SWR employees regardless of level, position or tenure are responsible for upholding the safety standards regulations and policies.

Must be able to work any shift, weekends and overtime

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Manual 10-speed experience required

High school diploma or GED

Speak, read, and comprehend English

Write legibly in English

Good physical condition, i.e. able to lift 25-50# on a consistent basis

Must have a valid CDL A or B license for the state applied

Must meet Department of Transportation physical and medical requirements

Must pass substance abuse screening according to company policy

Requires a high degree of attention and considerable dexterity in the control of a rolloff-truck and in the prevention of damage to materials and equipment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS To successfully perform the essential functions of this role it requires the ability to: stand occasionally, walk frequently, frequent use of hands (reach with hands and arms), view computer monitor, use telephone, speak and listen frequently.
