The Oasis at Death Valley is situated in a lush, spring-fed desert oasis, surrounded by the vast and arid desert of Death Valley National Park. The Oasis operates the historic AAA Four Diamond Inn and Ranch, restaurants, gift shops, and the world’s lowest elevation golf course. Both hotels are open year‑round and feature swimming pools fed by naturally warm local springs.

We’re hiring an Ice Cream Attendant to Live. Work. Explore. in Death Valley National Park!

Job Summary As an Ice Cream Attendant/Barista at the Ice Cream Parlor or Coffee and Creamery you will greet and offer hospitality to guests, answer their questions, take orders and accept payments, and prepare and serve food and drinks. You will also maintain a clean and well‑stocked workspace and dining area.

The Details Position Type: Seasonal or Full‑time Year‑round

Start Dates: As soon as possible on next available check‑in date (approximately three weeks)

Pay: $17.10/hr. Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours, 5 days per week (may include weekends, evenings, and holidays)

Responsibilities

Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.

Preparing foods such as sandwiches or baked goods, scooping ice cream, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers.

Packaging food and beverages for sale.

Cleaning and restocking work and dining areas, emptying trash, and sanitizing equipment and utensils.

Learning about brewing methods, beverage blends, food preparation, and presentation techniques to improve food quality.

Taking inventory and replenishing items in display cases, at tables, or behind the counter.

Working as part of a fun, high‑energy team.

Adhering to all food safety regulations and quality controls.

Qualifications

Previous food preparation, cashiering, or barista experience preferred.

Excellent guest service skills.

Must be well‑groomed and have excellent personal hygiene.

Physical Qualifications

Physically able to work standing for eight hours and must have the endurance to function in a fast‑paced, high‑stress environment.

Must be able to bend, stretch, and reach for extended periods of time.

Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 30 pounds.
