Overview We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Food & Beverage Lead to oversee and elevate our dining and poolside experiences at our 20-room boutique hotel. This role combines leadership with day-to-day operational responsibilities, managing a small team and running the entire food and beverage program—from breakfast service to poolside cocktails. The ideal candidate is a natural leader with a passion for hospitality, attention to detail, and the ability to create memorable guest experiences in a relaxed yet refined environment.

Key Responsibilities Leadership & Operations

Oversee all food and beverage operations, including the restaurant, bar, and pool deck service.

Lead, train, schedule, and motivate a small F&B team to deliver exceptional service.

Maintain a visible presence during service to support staff and engage with guests.

Develop and maintain service standards aligned with the hotel\'s boutique brand.

Menu & Program Management

Collaborate with culinary partners or chefs on menu design, seasonal updates, and specials.

Curate beverage menus, including wine, cocktails, and non-alcoholic offerings. Manage inventory, ordering, and cost controls for all F&B supplies.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing regulations.

Guest Experience

Build rapport with guests, personalize service, and handle any special requests or concerns.

Ensure consistent quality in food, drinks, and service presentation.

Plan and execute special events, tastings, or poolside activations to enhance the guest experience.

Administrative

Track sales, manage budgets, and work with management to meet revenue targets.

Implement training programs for staff on service etiquette, menu knowledge, and safety.

Maintain clear communication between the F&B team, kitchen, and hotel management.

Physical Requirements

Exert physical effort in lifting/transporting at least 25 pounds.

Push/pull carts and other equipment up to 100 pounds.

Requires grasping, writing, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening, and hearing ability and visual acuity.

Work environment covers all areas of the hotel, surf park, and restaurant. This job involves working under variable temperature conditions and noise levels, in indoor and outdoor settings.

Must be able to stand and exert well-paced mobility for lengthy periods of time.

Qualifications

Previous leadership experience in food and beverage operations (hotel or restaurant preferred).

Strong knowledge of both front-of-house and bar operations.

Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

Ability to multitask in a fast-paced, guest-facing environment.

Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, and holidays.

Current food handler and alcohol service certifications (or willingness to obtain).
