The
Dispatch Agent
serves as the central point of contact for all base catering operations. This role is responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing day‑to‑day dispatch functions, ensuring operational efficiency and regulatory compliance. The Dispatcher collaborates closely with internal departments and airline partners, monitors all flight activities, and maintains effective communication to support seamless catering operations.

Key Responsibilities Serve as the main point of contact for all inbound/outbound flight‑related operational issues
Conduct daily pre‑shift huddles with on‑duty team members
Understand and support both Warehouse and Transport operations
Review and respond to prior shift communications and outstanding tasks
Track and report team attendance, lateness, early departures, and absences
Update flight blocks with real‑time data (timings, aircraft gates, tow times, etc.)
Report incomplete or missed services with reasons and elevate as needed
Ensure team members are taking and returning from breaks on schedule
Maintain consistent communication with team members, airline crews, and ground staff
Assign trucks, drivers, and shift schedules to upcoming flight blocks; elevate discrepancies
Ensure all blocks for current and following days are complete and appropriately staffed
Communicate operational deviations to airline partners immediately as they occur
Perform end‑of‑shift inspections for truck cleanliness, fueling, and shutdown procedures
Ensure downtime is effectively utilized for staging, cleaning, and preparation
Support bulk and ice build‑up tasks as needed
Accurately update GPET for each flight serviced, including extra charges and service notes
Verify completion and uploading of security declarations and carrier checklists
Ensure driver logs are completed accurately, including maintenance concerns
Cross‑train in various warehouse operational functions
Qualifications 1–3 years of administrative, dispatching, or coordination experience (aviation or logistics preferred)
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Minimum 18 years of age
Ability to legally work in Canada on a permanent basis
Clear criminal background check
Must obtain applicable
airport security clearances
and
vehicle operator permits
Ability to regularly lift, push, or pull up to 70 lbs
Flexible schedule with availability to work nights, weekends, holidays, and be on call
Successful completion of all required airline and company training/certifications
