Join a dedicated and collaborative team in our fast-paced, 43-bed Emergency Department, where we care for both adult and pediatric patients. At UH Ahuja Medical Center, you’ll work side by side with experienced nurses, providers, paramedics, and care assistants—together delivering high-quality, compassionate care.
The Nursing Assistant II (NA II) is an entry-level position specifically designed for current nursing students aiming to enrich their preparation for a nursing career. Under the guidance of an experienced nurse, you will acquire valuable hands‑on experience by providing safe, efficient, age-specific care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status.
The role is designed to build upon the experience gained in the classroom and during clinical rotations.

A Brief Overview Works under the direction of a responsible RN to provide safe, efficient, age‑specific nursing care to patients and families in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and/or sustain optimal health status.
What you will do
Direct patient care delivery (includes ADL’s, hygiene measures, select treatments, patient/family education, discharge preparation)
Communication and documentation of interventions and observations
Participation in quality improvement process
Involved in learning and self‑improvement
Initiates and maintains a positive relationship with patients/customers and coworkers
Demonstrates a professional demeanor when responding to patients/customers.
